Assuming your Asterisk mail client is set up correctly, cron this twice a day on your Asterisk box:
ifconfig eth0 | grep "inet addr" | mail -s "My Asterisk IP address" [EMAIL PROTECTED] Check your mail before you call and verify that the IP address has not changed, if it has, modify your client accordingly. -----Original Message----- From: Robert Rawlinson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, September 16, 2005 1:52 PM To: Asterisk Subject: [Asterisk-Users] How to access * thru router when ip address is not known I am going to be traveling and I wanted to be able to get on the internet and call thru * to make calls. The problem is I do not have a fixed ip address. How do you make this work? I will be using IAXCOMM.
