I want to stop it from any future attempts.

This is an asterisk bug. I already filed it but they need a full trace and
I haven't had the time yet to do it.
It seems that * keeps retrying the call, even when it was succesfully
completed.
Annoying.

call ...
asterisk -rx "soft hangup <callid>"
