As the originator of this thread I would like to respond to some of the posts so far.

1. To the person who asked if I was referring to Intel boards or chipsets. I said boards and I meant boards. I have done no research to determine if the limitation extends to boards based on Intel chipsets made by any other manufacturer.

2. To the person who said to disable the on-board devices that are sharing IRQs. Not practical since on at least one of the Intel boards the IRQ is shared by both the Ethernet and VGA controllers (see below).

3. To the person who said they are having no problems -- that is not the real issue. I must have a configuration which is supportable by Digium. That it works today is little comfort. If it tanks tomorrow and I or the customer calls Digium and they say "Oh! I see that your TDM04B is sharing an IRQ. Call us back when you have that changed. Click! buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" then we're SOL aren't we.

As to those who continue to doubt the stupidity of Intel's mobo designers, here are the salient excepts of an lspci -vb from an "Intel Desktop Board D915GVWB" machine with a TDM04B board:

0000:00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corp. 82915G Express Chipset Family Graphics Controller (rev 0e) Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 11

0000:00:1b.0 0403: Intel Corp. 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04)
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 11

0000:00:1d.2 USB Controller: Intel Corp. 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) USB UHCI #3 (rev 04)
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 0, IRQ 11

0000:00:1f.1 IDE interface: Intel Corp. 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) IDE Controller (rev 04)
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 0, IRQ 11

0000:05:01.0 Communication controller: Tiger Jet Network Inc. Tiger3XX Modem/ISDN interface
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 11

0000:05:08.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 1064 (rev 01)
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 11

P.S. This mobo has only two PCI slots. It matters not which slot the TDM04B is installed in.
