What you recall is only partially correct:

In 1.0 wctdm is an alias for wcfxs. Furthermore, wcfxs shows up (e.g: in
/proc/interrupts) as "wctdm".

wcfxs is the driver for the TDM400P cards. It was later renamed
(rewrriten as?) wctdm. wcfxo is the driver for the X100P cards.
