Don't you actually want to do a move instead of a copy? During a copy Asterisk might actually pull a partial file but a move will not be detected until the file is 100% in place. Probably not a problem unless you were writing a very busy call center app.

If you know how to code, have a look at the sample.call file in the /usr/src/asterisk directory.
