Sort of. There's IAXmodem, which should be run on the same box as
Asterisk itself (even thought it connects to * via IAX2); combine that
with HylaFAX and you can send faxes from Linux, BSD, and Windows boxes,
and have HylaFAX mail incoming faxes to designated recipient(s).
I have such a box set up at work, which provides voice mail and FAX for
an existing Panasonic analog hybrid PBX.
