Sounds like someone is using [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or at least AMP):

[EMAIL PROTECTED] != Asterisk
AMP != Asterisk

With Asterisk, you have to edit voicemail.conf. There are some good examples there. There is also a ton of documentation on the subject. Did you google Asterisk voicemail, or some combination of?
