How would you know if the clock is off or perhaps the server is in Europe where _all_ clocks run 8 hours fast compared to the one true "California Time". ;-) Even if the system time is set a year in the future this should still work. I suspect a bug where the software computes a time, goes off and does some work then comes back and then compares that time to the present time of day.
