Here is what I did:

I downloaded the tar file of Asterisk 1.2.7.1 and complied it and installed it using "make" and "make install" I tested my other applications eg. call out, meet me, etc, they all work fine. I test the fax using sendfax -- weird, no call received at all. Also, no IAXmodem registered on CLI.
I usually see something like this on CLI:

Apr 19 13:44:42 NOTICE[5913]: chan_iax2.c:5691 update_registry: Restricting registration for peer 'iaxmodem' to 60 seconds (requested 300)

Ok, I reversed it back to Asterisk 1.2.6. No configuration change. It works again.

I'm not sure if I have to change some setting in Asterisk 1.2.7.1 or something??

I'm trying to find something like 'what's new?' of Asterisk 1.2.7.1

I'm using IAXModem 0.1.3.

Are you sure you recompiled that module? Check your logs.

Don't know, my test setup is 1.2.4.
