That's exactly what I needed to know there. It's odd to use the
${CALLERIDNUM} variable since Feature Group D does not support
CallerID. You'd think there would be some sort of different variable
name for that.
Probably you will want to use featdmf instead of e&m as your
signaling mode, that will properly parse the incoming digits and
also send the acknowledgement wink. There are quite a few featd
choices available in zapata.conf, so you may just want to try them
all :-) In the worst case, you can contact Digium Support on Monday
and they will be happy to help you get the signaling set up correctly.
I do use "featdmf" in the zapata.conf.
In the zaptel.conf, it says to use the e&m setting for Feature Group
D, there is no featd setting in there.
There are only 3 Feature Group D settings in the zapata.conf.
; featd: Feature Group D (The fake, Adtran style, DTMF)
; featdmf: Feature Group D (The real thing, MF (domestic, US))
; featdmf_ta: Feature Group D (The real thing, MF (domestic, US))
through a Tandem Access point
I am using mf, so I have to use featdmf at least, and I am not using
a Tandem Access point, but I can give that a try just to see if that works.
