T1 PRI's are (almost?) always copper.
Pretty much always copper by the time you see them. They might be fibre
from the box on the wall to the telco's luxurious mansion, but what you
connect to is almost certainly two twisted pairs, or two thin co-ax
cables (mostly the twisted pairs these days). In other words, the
difference is irrelevant to a subscriber.

Subject: [Asterisk-Users] T1 Copper or T1 Fiber Line
I am located in the Caribbean, we already have an Asterisk PBX box, and
are planning on getting a T1 line.
The Phone company said they will run the T1 line over copper. So
basically it's a T1 copper line.
Is something like that possible? and if so, what would I need to get and
do to be able to get this type of T1 line to work.
Steve
