Matt,
A bit off-topic but I noticed you have HT enabled. Since you may be
doing transcoding on the MeetMe box, which afaik involves the FPU,
shouldn't you turn off HT? HT's virtual CPU does not have it's own FPU
and will compete with the real CPU for FPU time. I was always under the
impression that HT had to be turned off for these kind of applications.
Alternatively you could perhaps bind asterisk & your cards to the real
CPU and let the HT CPU take care of the rest (not sure of that's
possible with HT). For more info have a look in the IRQ-affinity.txt
doc.
We have run with and without HT enabled and noticed a slight
improvement in performance with it on. We have not had any issues with
meetme quality with HT on as opposed to with HT off.
