I think what you are looking to do is route the calls over the existing data t1 in which case all you need to do is create an IAX trunk between the two asterisk servers addressing their internal ip addresses ( such that the route would be over the data T1).
Then you would want to make sure that you are running QoS on all voip traffic that goes from A to B accross that link giving it the highest level of priority. That should in essence do the job...
