That's exactly what I am doing, unless you mean that the dns caching server caches results over a reboot.

FWIW, I always use IP addresses instead of dns names. But, I don't have to deal with dynamic ip changes of any device either.

I don't have to deal with any dynamic IP changes either, other than the possibility of one of my voip providers changing the IP address of their servers, which is probably a very rare occurence.
