Try safe_mysqld --skip-grant-tables and configure your password and your allowed hosts

I am using the command "mysql -u user" to access mysql promt in the Konsole, When I am trying to create the root's password by using the command "SET PASSWORD FOR root=PASSWORD("password");" The Konsole give the error message. ERROR 1044: Access denied for user: '@localhost' to database 'mysql' And also when I am trying to create a user by using the command "GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO [EMAIL PROTECTED] IDENTIFIED BY "password" WITH GRANT OPTION;" The Konsole give the error message ERROR 1045: Access denied for user: '@localhost' (Using password: NO) Please help me to create user with password, database and grant to access all works.
