Not sure if it's useful, but could this be used so that you could create a "database" of names and extensions, then use this to enter in the first 3 digits of the name or whatever the case may be? Could be useful...
I believe this feature already exists (undocumented, of course). It uses the voicemail config file to match mailboxes against names and reads the "say your name" audio clip out of the user's voicemail box.
