Hi, I've been asked to put together a quote for a system which basically will be a virtual PBX based on Asterisk with some IVR's and a whole bunch of GotoIfTime's.
There will be one incoming DID via SIP, user gets dropped in to an IVR and then depending on the option they choose, *and* the time of day & day of month, it will make an outbound call to a cellphone. Normally this system is handled by somebody taking the calls manually 24 hours per day and then calling out the necessary person who is on call. I was planning on renting a root server to do this with, maybe £30 ($50) per month, something like a 2Ghz Celeron with 256mb, 100mb/s connectivity etc. I could use the box for other projects in future? Are there other alternatives to Asterisk for this kind of work? Are there commercially available 'boxes' that do this kind of thing? Is this the kind of service you can go and speak to your telco and have them setup? Before I quote for the system, my time and maintenance I want to know what else is available out there. many thanks Mike _______________________________________________ --Bandwidth and Colocation provided by Easynews.com -- asterisk-users mailing list To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
