I`m trying to
provision my Polycom 501s using Pure-FTP. Everything has been working
fine, until I put a new bootlog.ld file. Sniffing the packets between my
phone and the FTP server during transfer, I noticed that the file is not 100%
sent (it seems to send about a third of it, and then the phone wisely detects it
as being corrupted and reboots).
I have suceeded in
using other FTP clients to download the bootrom.ld file (with the same
credentials, on the same LAN) and I suceeded in downloading and installing the
bootrom.ld from another test FTP server (War-FTP running on Windows XP, not a
permanent solution).
I still have many
more phones to go, and I`d like this issue fixed so that it doesnt get me by
surprise next time I need it to work and the phones are deployed in the
field.
So the problem is
the combination of Pure-FTP and Polycom...Pure FTP is the latest version,
Polycom bootrom is 3.2.1 (trying to upgrade to 3.2.2)
I also noticed that
there is an FTP error message: "Response: 450 Error during write to data
session".
ANY help is
appreciated, or just a nice encouragement message from somebody using Pure-FTP
with Polycoms, so I know I am not wasting my time.
PS: If there is a
better FTP server suggestion Ill take it, but one of my "must-haves" is easy of
use and virtual users functionality (with different chroot
folders).
Mike
