i didn't say that you can switch, just that you can program a zplex as FXO and FXS at time.
As you can prove it at the zplex handbok
For the model number Z-PLEX-10-24S, all ports on the
connector are FXS ports.
For the model number Z-PLEX-10-24S/O, the last 16 ports
on the connector are FXS ports.
