May I recommend reading http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/business/alerts/alt129.htm and https://telemarketing.donotcall.gov For more than 5 area codes, you will have to pay to access the data - it seems you can download number lists then to compare to your customers phone numbers list. 5 or less area codes are free. If you call nationwide prepare to pay some 17k$ for the lists for all area codes.
