I fully agree with this maintenance concern but what do you exactly mean by "use the device's bulk provisioning methods, like https an XML configuration file to the device" ? For instance, what about products which do not provide provisioning method that deserves to be called "bulk provisioning method" ? Do you have a trick to escape from using web interface ?
