I am currently struggling to implement this feature in realtime asterisk. I
have configured realtime asterisk and it works great, however I can not get
regserver to update via the rtsavesysname in sip.conf. Heres my configs..
sip.conf

rtsavesysname=yes
asterisk.conf
[EMAIL PROTECTED] asterisk]# more asterisk.conf

astvarlibdir => /var/lib/asterisk
astdatadir => /var/lib/asterisk
astagidir => /var/lib/asterisk/agi-bin
astspooldir => /var/spool/asterisk
astrundir => /var/run
astlogdir => /var/log/asterisk

;systemname = my_system_name ; prefix uniqueid with a system name for global uni

I am using asterisk 1.4.6..
