I disagree. A "triage" nurse does not need to know as much as a surgeon to save lives. For someone who understands the protocol (not me), it would be very helpful for the rest of us to have an example of various "conversations" with each message illustrated as an screen shot of the Asterisk console with "sip debug on" and the important bits circled in red. Kind of like what my cellular company does when they try to explain my bill -- of course, I don't think they really want me to understand it in the first place :) Examples of what I'd like to see: 1) A SIP telephone registering successfully. 2) A SIP telephone failing to register for reasons x, y, and z. 3) An incoming call being accepted. 4) An incoming call being rejected for reasons x, y, and z. 5) An outgoing call being accepted. 6) An outgoing call being rejected for reasons x, y, and z. This type of explanation would help 90% of the users solve 90% of their issues without having to learn the minutia of the protocol. Oh, and I want the same for IAX!
