I've successfully tested 2BCT on 5E switches, and it seems works to great. Just remember to set "facilityenable=yes" in zapata.conf. I'm not sure if my data point really helps you, as I was using a different type of switch, but I've heard from good authority that it's working on DMS100 as well.
