sorry, but that depends on much more than the version, while I have never personally tried 1.4 the latest 1.2 works for me, however I have never yet passed the stage of never as far as time goes, since tomorrow is another day. now to your problem, if you start asterisk with -cvvvvv at loading what does it segfault?
