I am trying to steer my company away from purchasing an expensive and proprietary 3com NBX100 system. Currently, we are using a norstar system in conjunction with centrex lines that allows us to transfer a call to an outside number and, in transferring, release it from our pbx (the transfer is done at the phone switch). Is it possible to configure asterisk to do this?
