He's talking about calling their cellphone or pager, not their desk. On our voicemail system it's called out dial. We use it with our sales people. If a message is left in their voice mail box the phone system calls them to tell them there is a new message, authenticate themselves and then let them listen to the message. It lets them know there is a message more quickly and since most of them have free incoming minutes it's cheaper.
