You can't, in 1.4. This is by design. We have removed this restriction in
1.6. As a workaround, in 1.4, use the NoOp instruction with the SET dialplan
function, i.e.
NoOp(${SET(M_CHANNELVAR=${UNIQUEID}|${CALLERID(number))})
