I just realized that uniquename is only available
after applying the BRISTUFF patches.
So let me rephrase my question:
will Asterisk ever include the "uniquename" feature in
its base code? If not, why?
(I would prefer not to apply BRIstuff since I don't
have Junghanns hardware).
