I have not used an Octel system but a quick Google search leads me to believe that has a harddrive, either 2.5 or 3.5. Depending on the filesystem, you could simply remove the drive, attach it to another machine and copy everything off of it. But before trying that, I would be surprised if there were no "backup" facility. Anyways, if you want to use Asterisk, you may be able to use senddtmf and monitor to get what you want.
