Hi!

I'm also curious if anyone else is doing this or if anyone else
is using the Asterisk TDD support.

Excuse my ignorance: What exactly is TDD? Is it US specific?

It's a specification for sending words over a normal telephone, normally used by the deaf. It resembles the old-style modems in that the handset is interfaced with a microphone and speaker. This allows TDD to be used with payphones, which do not have an RJ-11 interface.

Does anyone use this any more? All the deaf people here carry cellphones, and use SMS to communicate.

Steve
