Sorry to jump in on this but I am also interested in this topic. In my scenario I have about 10 POTs lines brought into the front of a facility and the only infrastructure connecting the back of the facility is a 3000ft fiber backhaul. I've been asked to bring the POTs lines to the back of the facility.
Are there any ATAs that trunk multiple POTs Lines? Like a multiplexer of some sort. If anyone has any information can you please provide the manufacturer and model of the device? I'd say it's better to pay a small monthly fee to someone like OnSIP.com and use their centrex. If it's because you have the phone lines already installed and need to just use them at certain times, I do think there are FXO devices but I'm not sure they will help. You wouldn't need two asterisk servers at any rate but only one.
