The phone powers up and I can make calls through my Asterisk gateway to other endpoints. However the four leds under the keypad are permanently illuminated and the backlight slowly flashes on and off. When I pick up the handset there is a repeated tone before I get a dial tone.
I know it's trying to tell me something, but the manual does not give anything away.
You have a new voicemail message!!.. The flashing is the MWI and the dialtoane is called a "stutter dial tone" which is an alternate way of telling you that there is voicemail..
