Hi!
First thought: try to debug it. Use debugging options while building, if
there are any, and I believe there are.
Then run asterisk with gdb:
gdb asterisk # optionally try asterisk with full path
Then in gdb:
gdb> set args your_options
e.g.:
gdb> set args -c
