*bump* and more information: I packet sniffed the server during the attempt to call the phone and * never sends a packet to the phone before generating the "status is 'UNKNOWN'" message. I assume this means that * somehow "knows" the phone is unavailable, which doesn't make sense to me sense sip show peers shows the phone as OK.
