Some vendors PCI cards: - don't work period - work if you have the right rev of their board - can be upgraded via RMA if you have the right rev their board - don't know what PCI-X is (or at least the support geek who responded to my mail.) In each case, I'll try the PCI card in a PCI-X slot first and see what happens.
