I've tried two Java based, including one from doodling.com, and they worked very well for me. I know somebody who is trying to do his business on a flash based web phone, and it works great, plus it also receives calls in the browser. That is what has motivated me to look for a similar solution. His is license based, custom developed. I think the technology is there which can be used reliably. I just saw yesterday Yahoo! has also some similar soluton of their own. I remember using dialpad.com year ago from dial-up Internet and it worked great.
