Several of my VoIP service provider customers use Vyatta routers at 
their network edge and, they do appear to work just fine.

The reason I was confused is that you brought them up in the context of 
NAT, as though to imply that the provide some sort of exceptional NAT 
traversal functionality.  It is not my impression that they fare at this 
any better than anything else Linux-based.
