Great, do you know of any other files outside of /usr/lib/asterisk/modules that get recreated? I also place rc.redhat.asterisk as "asterisk" in /etc/rc.d/init.d I don't see that safe_asterisk_restart gets placed anywhere. It looks like astgenkey and autosupport both get written over.
