Hello Warren Selby, Thanks for reply uname -r 2.6.18-128.el5PAE
to install kernel-devel i used yum in beginning . Then used rpms. Then upgraded the kernel .. using this link http://www.linuxheadquarters.com/howto/tuning/kernelsources.shtml several other tries like completely upgrading the system... This issue has ruined my continuous 36 hours with out sleep One thing i have in mind is to install ubuntu instead of centos to get rid of this issue. I may try this on Monday.
