Not sure what your question is, but the Polycom IP Phones use SUBSCRIBE: "SoundPoint� IP supports shared call appearances (SCA) using the SUBSCRIBE-NOTIFY method in the "SIP Specific Event Notification" framework (RFC 3265)."
