Hi,
maybe the error is on this line:
sock=/tmp/mysql.sock
if you use CentOS the correct line is:
sock=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
if you use Debian/ubuntu:
sock=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock
