Not dumb, but you won't get a scientific answer. You will get opinion. Kinda like the old Ford / Chevy thing... The best answer I can give you is whatever you are comfortable / familiar with. Personally, I use debian sid (the unstable branch) which is really quite stable. I've been running it for over a year.
