I could be mistaken, but I don't think, by default, any of the configuration files should be including /etc/dahdi/system.conf. Where is that include coming from in your configuration? In mine it only shows up in some comments: $ grep dahdi\/system\.conf /etc/asterisk/* /etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf:; /etc/dahdi/system.conf.
