Thanks for the info. The problem is that the ChangeLog files http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/asterisk/releases/ are very long to read, and make no distinction between tiny features/bug fixes and major changes, so non-experts are unable to tell them apart. No Asterisk expert keeps track of new releases and blogs about major changes when they occur? At the very least, what is the main difference between the four branches currently under development, so that 1.4 users can tell if it's worth upgrading to another branch (save for the end-of-lifed branches)?
