Hi Binni, We run a number of Asterisk servers on virtual machines. I'm not heavily involved in the virtualisation side of the business so i'm afraid i can't give you much advice on it, Past saying it is possible to have an Asterisk System up and running reliably on virtual machines.
Our virtualisation platform is KVM based. Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me will be able to help!.
