Does any Digium device generate the necessary timing? If I have the one-port FXO card present does that do the trick? I bought the developers kit with that one-port FXO card and the other FXS card with provisions for four ports but hardware for one.
I'm trying to determine whether I should buy the 4-bri ISDN card from Junghanns or start out with a 1 port CAPI card. I know that a CAPI card is not zaptel and the other is. If I have the Digium FXO card present along with a CAPI will that provide timing to my system? My budget may dictate that I go with a CAPI card to start out with - ISDN line installations are not cheap to get in Uruguay. There are a host of features, such as conferencing and music-on-hold which require a hardware device for timing. Not just any device will work (it has to generate exactly 1000 cycles per second). -Tilghman _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
