Yes, it's possible, with some heavy hacking (and it ends up creating an unredistributable binary -- you can't comply with all the provisions of all the licences involved, and the only thing allowing you to use it at all is the fair dealing provision of copyright law); but the real question is, *why* would you want to do it? Unix already provides a perfectly good filesystem for storing files. Just record your call to a file as normal, and stick the filename and whatever metadata you like in the database.
