Actually the baby monitors tend to be in the 47Mhz band, but yes they still suck. There are newer models in the 900Mhz and 2.4Ghz range. However, reviews of the 900Mhz models are almost unanimous in declaring them to be worse than the 47Mhz models. While my experience with 2.4Ghz phones indicates that they will trash most 802.11b networks. So, I'm trying to move away from the wireless solution. Mainly, due to the interference between the two locations. The three station FM solution looks promising.
