If you have a cisco phone with a sccp image on it, it is most likley licensed with that image. You would need to buy a license for SIP from cisco in order to legally run the SIP image on that phone. If you are unsure about what license your phone has, contact TAC, they can tell you as each phone has a unique mac address.
